The Twenty-Eighth Meeting of the ASEAN Trade Facilitation Joint Consultative Committee (ATF-JCC) was held on 13 – 15 January 2024 in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
The Meeting was attended by representatives from all ASEAN Member States (AMS) and the ASEAN Secretariat. The 46 representatives from ASEAN member states attended via video conferencing. The 2 representatives from Ministry of Commerce meeting together with the representative from Myanmar Customs attended the said meeting via video conferencing. The Meeting noted the outcomes of the high-level meetings related to the work of ASEAN Trade Facilitation Joint Consultative Committee (ATF-JCC). The meeting discussed on the ASEAN Work program, the streamlining on Non-Tariff Measures (NTMs), the resolution of outstanding cases under the Matrix of Actual Cases (MAC) on NTMs, National Trade Repository (NTR) and ASEAN Trade Repository (ATR), Term of Reference (TOR) of the Independent Non-Tariff Measure (NTM) Panel, Project on NTMs and Essential Goods Supported by Donors and technical assistance on trade facilitation initiatives.
