As Trade Liberalization, Ready Cargo Condition has not been examined

The Minister for Commerce, Brigadier General Tin Naing Thein said that since the government has released some factor in trade activities to be the smooth flows of trade, the oversea and border trade should be raised for the benefit of the people, entrepreneurs and the entire nation.

At the meeting ceremony of the Export-Import Supervision Committee joint with the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industries and its associate organizations, which had been held at the conference hall of the Ministry of Commerce in Naypyitaw on the 19 th October 2007 , the Minister for Commerce explained “ One liberalization in the application of export license for agricultural product is that it does not need to obtain the certified document of ready cargo condition from Myanma Agricultural Produce Trading ”. He also said “If a company could not carry out the shipment during the specific period of three months, the duration of license validity would have been raised to prevent the loss but that company will lose the opportunity of such liberalization. Sine there were incorrect performances by obtaining licenses with a lot of tons, the quantity of commodity had been examined and exported in the past. Now, the system in which the export product has been examined for ready cargo condition is released and therefore the merchants and exporters should be strive to promote the trade volume with momentum using this chance during the allowance time of three months”.
